slices of life from the west coast

well the oc premiere has come and gone. it was good but i sorta felt deflated after watching it. i had this whole vision of what was going to happen during the premiere: seth returns to newport, ryan fights it but moves back in to the cohen's, and then a first day of school filled with ryan/marissa and seth/summer drama. none of that really materialized. in fact the show ended just at the point where all that was about to happen. i felt like i did after watching terminator 3 and waiting the entire movie expecting to see giant post-apocalyptic battles filled with robots then having the credits roll just as i think i about to get what i want.

the weekend was fun. on friday i went out to a recruitment dinner then to my boss' birthday party. eric proved me wrong at his birthday and was successfully able to finish 4(plus?) drinks by the time i left. i had figured it would be about two and then the floor. saturday i layed around and played a bunch of crimson skies. saturday night was alot of fun. we went out with some of the kids that amazon was recruiting. hung out at the cha for a while and then came back to my place and watched 2 hours of degrassi next generation. which by the way rox.

big month coming up for music in seattle. i actually had scheduling conflicts due to all the shows going on in this town. feel free to look at matt's wiki for a selection of shows i'm thinking of seeing.

once again, i am jealous that you live in minus the bear's hometown. they bypassed canada entirely on this last jaunt of their tour.

and you absolutely have to see the arcade fire. have to. buy your tickets now. they completely live up to the hype they've been getting.
