life's been busy.

work was stressing me a bit this past week but it's passed. other work related news is that i got my business cards. it's so cool having them and i actually got to use them at some recruiting event that i went to. that's another nice thing about work lately is that i've been getting invited to go out to these dinners where we try and sell college candidates who have job offers at amazon on the idea of working at amazon and in our group. it's not too much work and you get to eat/drink for free at nice restaurants.

non-work related stuff is that i went to the weirdest wedding reception ever last sunday. it was at a local bar and featured a cross dressing mc and and live all girl punk band performance. also my stuff finally arrived from ontario so i've now ditched my used futon on the floor for a real mattress on a bed frame. the other stuff is basically staying in boxes for now. the only item i was really looking forward to receiving was some furniture and my bed. now lots of stuff is here cluttering the place up. lesson learned: give away more of your shit.

oh and a notice to all readers: new year's at my place in georgetown is the place to be this year.
