been a busy last couple of days. monday i went to les savy fav who put on a killer show at neumo's. lots of multi-level dancing and lots of classic capitol hill kids. good times were had.

last night was the death cab/pretty girls make graves show. it was a classic example with what happens when you couple a killer rock band with a band who's best know for quiet emo ballads. there was a huge crowd but throughout the opening pretty girls set most people just stood around. pretty girls play great dancing music, but there was just no movement. then death cab took the stage and there was sedate nodding for the majority of their set. they still played a great and long set and even had eddie vedder come out during the encore to play a song with them, which was amazing. the oc effect was also in show there were more kids than at a skatepark in suburbia.

in the last couple days i've heard far too many move to canada/marry a canadian/secede and join canada jokes. i think i should have a leaf tattoo put on my forehead and see if i can get free coffee/beer for being canadian.
